The sommer wheels are mounted and the sunshade was fixed as wished after three trials. All boxes got numbers and everything we loaded in the car needed to be on our packing list for the US customs.
After playing some Tetris with our luggage and more than one visit at the car wash we were finally ready. For the time of transport the roof box, the bike rack and the bikes needed to be stowed in the vehicle because otherwise the container would be to small… but now everything has its place.
Early in the morning we drove to Basel. The container was ready and after some stand-by-time the container was loaded and sealed.
Our container starts its journey in Basel, Switzerland. From here it goes to Antwerp where it is loaded to the cargo ship Seoul Express of Hapag-Lloyd for the transport to Oakland, California. We hope everything goes well and our hundred forms for the american customs are all right.
