Olympic National Park has so many different regions! First we drove along the coast and defied the rain.

On the westside of the mountains are weather conditions like in rainforests. We were wet anyway so we decided to stay for the night. On the Campground Deer watched us baking a (close to) perfect bread.

We visited Port Angeles, where we could look over to Canada (Victoria). In the evening on the campground we both were sitting on our Laptops and were totally absorbed when the sun was setting. Suddenly Nick heard something and ran to the van to get the flashlight. There was a raccoon just next to me trying to reach for the cookies on the table! He ran away but he and his friends kept coming back all night.

But raccoons are not the only thieves in the area. Next day we drove all the way up to Hurricaine Ridge. Just in front of our parking space was a nice bench with a view and we decided to have lunch there. We carried all our stuff out (the bench was 3 meters away) and as we both were at the car a crow pounced on to the bench and took off with a whole pack of ham! 200 meters further down the hill it landed and destroyed the wrapping in no time. Nick was only able to bring back peaces of plastic.
